Genealogical Services
Anquestory is a firm owned and operated by Michael Elwood Pollock** providing personalized services ranging from simple consultations for those who would prefer to do the actual research themselves, to researching and publishing of books for those who do not have the time or expertise to do the research/publishing themselves, and including "forensic genealogy"--research to facilitate probate of wills or clearing of title to property, or to identify heirs to intestate estates, and providing expert testimony in conjunction with the latter. In the area of forensic genealogy, clients have been predominantly law firms such as McGuire-Woods as representative of companies such as Walmart and LandAmerica, though smaller firms and even individuals have contracted for these services.
With a location just 90 miles south of Washington, D.C., i.e., the National Archives and DAR Library, and on-line access to subscription sites world-wide as well as a network of associates world-wide, the services offered by Anquestory are not limited just to Virginia, though the time period and language(s) involved can be constraints on availability of records and in conjunction with ability of staff/associates to read the said language(s), can sometimes argue that Anquestory provide a prospective client with one or more referrals.
